JOHN SCOTT LODGE

Situated in the Godley Valley at the head of Lake Tekapo, this modernized and well appointed facility caters for groups of students at both senior and junior levels, mostly during the warmer months.

During Term 1, as part of their Outdoor Education programme, all Year 9 classes spend one week each at John Scott Lodge.  They have activities, games and the experience of living together to learn, have fun, get to know one another and develop trust and confidence as a group.

The following activities are studied with the aid of qualified staff and the Peer Support Team.

• Canoe activity - A beginner's course and white water

• Tramping - Easy track and hill work

• Leadership Skills - Leading small groups with activities

• Fishing - Time out

• Mountain Relay

• Confidence Course - 14 events

• Spot Light
