Peer support programmes are especially valuable for new entrants, where trained Year 13 students ease the younger boys into school life.
Overseas tours are becoming a regular feature for our students enabling them to
participate in cultural visits to China, Japan, Vietnam and New Caledonia and for sport,
Australia.

The whole school is expected to participate in athletics, swimming sports and in cross country and age-group, inter-form and inter-house competitions and other activities occurring through the year.
Annual inter-school fixtures take place with Shirley Boys' High School, St Andrew's College, Christchurch Boys' High School, Waitaki Boys' High School and Otago Boys' High School.
