TBHS Yachtsmen dominate

Hayden White (Captain), Clark Hegan, Tom Charteris, James Mehrtens, Chris Tulley, Jacob Pilcher and Graham Shivers attended the Southern Districts 420 Teams Racing Regatta at Lake Aviemore competing for the Lund-Conroy Trophy. They sailed superbly outclassing the competition winning both the inaugural Lund-Conroy Trophy and the Southern Districts regatta and were undefeated in the round robin series. We wish them well for the Nationals at Naval Point during the holidays. Our thanks go to Bruce Lund for his continued support and to the Timaru Herald for the use of their tent.

New Zealand Sail One Winter Championships

Hayden White came 16th in the Starling Class at the New Zealand Sail One Winter Championships in Auckland during the holidays. He received top placing for the South Island in his class. He will now compete at the Nationals in Whangarei early next year.

(earlier report) Our sailors have been busy recently with training sessions in Wanaka and Timaru in preparation for National 420 Teams Racing in Whangarei in the second week of the school holidays. Trials have been completed and Hayden White, Cameron Paul, Tom Charteris and Clarke Hegan have been selected to attend.
