HIRING THOMAS HOUSE

Welcome to Thomas House - a purpose built hostel accommodation complex located in central Timaru.

Thomas house specialises in providing accommodation for groups of 20 or more, up to a maximum of 105 during the school holidays.

Accommodation

Administration Block:
which houses the Manager's and Matron’s offices, Staff Lounge, Laundry, Sick Bay, Kitchen and Dining Room.

Fraser Wing:
This is the main accommodation and ablution block and can house 80 people in eight and twin bunk rooms upstairs and twin and four bunk rooms downstairs.

Jubilee Wing:
Sleeps 11 in single rooms but in an open format.

Manning wing:
A house with lounge, kitchen and three bedrooms - sleeps 7.

Lindsay Wing:
Three modern motel style units, each sleeping 4 people in twin rooms.

• Laundry facilities are available at a small charge.

Miscellaneous

There are no cooking facilities available for the use of the hirers except for tea and coffee making.  All meals are prepared by hostel staff and served in the dining room.  Continental breakfasts are available as self-serve meals.

Hirers are required to supply their own bedding or sleeping bags and towels.  Pillows are provided.

Departure time at the end of the hire period is 10.00am.

Hire Charges

All charges are GST exclusive.

• A bond of $250 is required prior to hiring.

• Bed and Continental Breakfast: $30 per head

• Evening Meal [Two Course]: $15 per head.

• Cooked lunch: $10 per head

• Packed lunch and drink: $10 per head.

• Cut lunch: $7 per head

• Dinner, Bed and Continental Breakfast, Packed Lunch: $50 ($55)

• There is a surcharge on all meals catered for on public holidays.
